Aim of inspection
Inspect the adequacy of LC7 'Incidents on the site' arrangements and their implementation at EDF Energy NGL Hinkley Point B.

Key findings, inspector's opinions and reasons for judgement made
I noted that Hinkley Point B employs established and mature EDF arrangements for capturing, reporting and managing incidents in line with Licence Condition 7.
I noted that incidents are raised using the Condition Report process accessible to all those working on site. Following initial categorisation by the on duty emergency controller Condition Reports are screened, sentenced, actioned and monitored at an effective twice weekly screening meeting.
Where required internal investigations are conducted to establish cause and corrective actions. I noted that these are carried out by suitably trained members of staff.
I also noted that incident information is captured as part of an organisation learning process that provides operational experience to site, fleet and wider industry.
Conclusion
Based on the evidence sampled I judge that EDF Hinkley Points B's arrangements and their implementation for 'Licence Condition 7 - Incidents on the site' are adequate. Therefore an inspection rating of ‘Green - no formal action’ is merited.
