Conclusion
Gows is a small manufacturing facility and I undertook a targeted and proportionate Manufacturing Inspection in line with the IAEA Transport Guidance.
- I reviewed the Gows Management System document and sampled 3 areas: internal audits; non-conformances; and roles/role profiles. I judged that the management system met an adequate standard for these 3 areas sampled.
- I reviewed the supply chain used by Gows and was satisfied that there is adequate oversight of these organisations and that their supplied work is of an adequate standard.
- I undertook a walkdown of Gows facility including stores, and was satisfied that the facility is kept to an adequate standard and that items are stored in adequate environmental conditions.
- I reviewed LTQRs, FATs and concessions and was satisfied that adequate records are kept and that adequate procedures are deployed.
- I reviewed calibration certificates for two items and was satisfied that adequate calibration had been undertaken.
Overall, I was satisfied that Gows had deployed an adequate management system within their manufacturing facility.
