Consultation on revised WENRA reference levels

WENRA (Western European Nuclear Regulators Association) is an organisation bringing together the heads of regulators for nuclear safety within Europe to develop a common approach to nuclear safety. ONR is a member of WENRA.  WENRA published its most recent Reference Levels (RL) for nuclear power plants in 2008.  Following the Fukushima accident, WENRA has reviewed its RLs and is revising them where necessary. The RLs have reached the stage where they are available for consultation outside WENRA.  All interested stakeholders can find the consultation document and details of the consultation process on the WENRA website. The closing date for comments is 28 February 2014.
